Will the SS Slim Series fit my door?

It fits standard uPVC and composite doors 40 to 80mm thick without replacing the door. Our 60-second compatibility checker confirms fit, or tells you honestly if it won't. No email address needed.

What happens if the battery dies or I'm locked out?

You get low-battery alerts well in advance. If the battery runs flat, you won't be stranded — a mechanical key means you have a way in, and the four AA batteries are swapped in seconds. Keep your backup key safe.

Is the SS Slim Series hard to install?

No. It fits your existing door: roughly 20 minutes with a screwdriver. No locksmith, no new door, no drilling into the frame.

Will a smart lock look cheap on a nice door?

The SS Slim Series is machined from ADC12 aluminium alloy with an SS304 stainless steel panel, in Silver, Black or White. It's Simpled's most design-focused lock, built to elevate a good door, not apologise to it.

Straight answers

Every worry, handled.

The five questions everyone asks, answered plainly, because peace of mind starts before you buy.

Can it be hacked?

Your fingerprint data is protected with AES encryption and stored on the lock.

Will it fit my door?

Almost certainly: it's built for existing uPVC and composite doors 40 to 80mm thick. Our 60-second checker confirms fit, or tells you honestly if it won't. We'd rather lose a sale than fit the wrong door.

What if the battery dies, am I locked out?

No. You'll get low-battery alerts long before it matters, and the four AA batteries swap in seconds. If it ever does run flat, there's a mechanical key backup besides. Redundancy is the whole point.

Is it hard to install?

About 20 minutes with a screwdriver, on your existing door. No locksmith, no drilling into the frame, no special tools.

Will it look cheap on my nice door?

Scroll back up to the close-ups. ADC12 machined aluminium, SS304 stainless steel, three finishes: Silver, Black, White. It's our most design-focused lock, made to elevate a good door rather than apologise to it.
